Here I am. This is Me

Starting a new chapter where I'll try to write about my experiences and share stories.

Hello! How are you? Hope you're doing fine. Me too.

I am new to the blogging culture. Never done this before so I don't even know how to start as well. Apologies if you're confused how things are flowing in this blog.

But it's a start

I had to write something. My first blog needed to get out of the system. I had been procrastinating a lot just because I was wondering what the first blog should be about. In the end, it doesn't even matter I guess!

I'll let the first one flow however it is turning out. At least I'm starting to write. Claps and applauds for my efforts :D

I have been a story teller for more than a decade now. It started with stage/drama in school following with stand up and then joining semi-professional theatre group during my college days. I can't believe those days where I could not learn 5 bullet points for a 10 marks answer in exams but memorised a full 60 page, 1.5 hour play's dialogues for my role.

I just require a stage. I don't care about the medium. Hence, theatre then led to camera during my office days. I bought a Nikon D3300 along with a 35 mm f1.8 prime lens. We shot some youtube type short videos but later took on more obervative and research oriented films. That brought me to documentary filmmaking. I think I struck a chord with it. Capturing real stories with your own style of visual story telling excited me. Although we shot 3-4 very interesting topics, it never made it to post production.

I left my job after 2.5 years. Not because I didn't love it, but because I wanted to do something else. I didn't want to waste the "Energy of the Youth." During the same time, my school friend, Kshitij, was starting an adventure sports based channel from Manali. Adventure sports is the perfect mixture of excitement along with raw and interesting stories. So I didn't think twice and moved to Manali in 2016.

Ever since then, I am living in Manali. I have been shooting various outdoor films and now even some commercials with brands in the outdoor space or presenting their product in the outdoors. I have accumulated or gone through a lot of exciting experiences since then. Every project became a story to tell and share. And that is why I am starting to write blog and hopefully will continue to do so consistently!
